Book Review – The Compass

I just finished reading a great book called The Compass, by Tammy Kling and John Spencer Ellis. I do want to recommend it to our visitors.

The Compass teaches quite a few important life transformation concepts, embedding them in an entertaining story form that demonstrates these concepts in a way where it’s easy to understand and digest. The story keeps moving along, and was hard to put down at times. To my surprise, the book even includes a Reader’s Key section at the end, which outlines the insights and lessons. In this section, I was able to pick up a few useful perspectives I had overlooked, this was a great way to ensure everyone gets full value from the book.

I specifically recommend this book for anyone who needs help in grieving over loss, or that has challenges in forgiving someone, as these are central themes in the story.

You can pick up The Compass at Amazon.Com, at least that’s where I get my books.

There is also a movie version available at this site. I haven’t seen the movie yet, so anyone who has, feel free to post your comments on it.

One of the authors, Tammy Kling, has also written an nice article called “Before Kids and After Kids“, good reading especially if you have kids yourself.

  1. Thanks Steve. It looks terrific. I’ll very likely recommend it to my readers too.

By the way, your link to the movie version did not work correctly. Found it, though. :) There are some great people featured, like T. Harv Eker, John Assaraf and Joe Vitale, a few of my favorites.

A friend of mine recently created a terrific list of free mind power books at this site http://freemindpowerbooks.com which are free to download, for your readers who might be interested in more self improvement and mind power books.

The Reader’s Key section of The Compass, outlining insights and lessons, intrigues me and great idea to include.

Interesting to see too, that Josh Stone is one of the directors/producers of the movie. Always love her music. :)

    Thanks again Steve.

    Cheers, Thea

  2. Thanks, I fixed the link
