World Positive Thinkers Club Newsletter

I wanted to share a new newsletter issue I received today, I support anything to do with positive thinking!

World Positive Thinkers Club

Publisher Ken Bossone Volume No.1 issue no 12 date 7/25/05

The Positive Thinker Sees the invisible, Feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.

This newsletter is perhaps the most exciting I have had the pleasure of writing! Because, many positive thinkers come and go in this exciting life, but not many compare to club member Lance Armstrong. Lance recently won the grueling Tour de France bicycle race for the seventh straight time. Name me another team or athlete who has accomplished that. Lance will go down in history as one of the greatest athletes and Positive Thinkers of all time.

“Funny thing about life; If you refuse to get anything but the best you often get it.” “Try going out on a limb, which is where the fruit is.” March of this year found me inducting two of my favorite Positive Thinkers-William & Emma DelValle of Sanford Florida. These two wonderful people never cease to amaze me with their kindness, and we celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. One of my favorite new Positive Thinkers, Kyle Maynard of Suwannee, Georgia has neither arms from the elbows nor legs from the knees, yet Kyle is a wrestler in High school. The club is growing in leaps and bounds, with too many new members to list here. Some of the recent inductees include, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, of the World Champion New England Patriots, as well as Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbook, Terrell Owens and Andy Reid of the NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Also inducted are Gordon B. Hinckley-President of the Church of Latter Day Saints in Christ, George W. Bush (President Bush, Mr. Hinkley, and Bill Belichick were sent my book) and VP.Richard B. Cheney, Rob Lewis-President of the Laurel & Hardy fan club, who were inducted posthumously by me. Rob wants to put the World Positive Thinkers Club website link on his site, and visa versa. Watch for www.worldpositivethinkersclub.com to be
online in early August. The book, `Why Do Positive Thinkers Win,’ will be offered on the site, and part of the profits will go to Hungry children in the U.S.

New club members Drs. Roy Kupsinal and Bill Edwards have offered to help form the United States Hungry Children’s Fund with me. Dr. Kupsinal is such a joy to be around, and on his business card it states: “Magician, Physician, Photographer-Have Magic, Medicine, Camera Bag-will travel.

Some of the other new Positive Thinkers are-Author Michael Mullen, Shaquille O’Neal, Curtis and Alice Daniels, (owners of my favorite golf course in Sanford, Florida), Regina Velez, Paul McKinney, Esq., Jackie McAdams, Ruth Little, Pastor Allan Graham, Dolores Weisberg & Marlyn Valliquette (two of my favorite nutritionists) Rose DiPino, Josie Fontanazza, Robert High, John Amrhein, Allan Martin (Allan was instrumental in helping to build our website), Jim Halligan (successful real estate agent), Christine Patti (another of my favorite nutritionists), Mike (Holywood) Davis Roger Judski, to name just a few. A goal of the club is to have 1000 members by the end of 2006. I am always pleased to induct the female members of this exciting planet and talk about them in chapter 14, `Are Women Better Positive Thinkers than Men?’ of my book. No offence intended men. Read the chapter and draw your own conclusions.

“I may walk slow, but I do not walk backwards.” -A. Lincoln- “The positive thinker is one who when he sees the handwriting on the wall does not think it is a forgery!” Lord Kelvin, President of the Royal Society in England stated emphatically in 1895, “heavier than air flying machines are impossible.” A shame he was not around to see man break the sound barrier and land on the moon. “Knowledge is power, but imagination is the switch.”
-Which president is considered the Ultimate positive thinker?-
In the last newsletter I wrote about this and wanted to write about it again. I am an amateur historian; have studied the Presidents; talk about many in my book, and have come to the conclusion that many qualify. So I will leave that question for the questions of the ages. However, Ronald Reagan, who lived as a poor child in Dixon, Illinois, where I had the pleasure of residing for a year, took over the country when it was embroiled in negativity. Luckily for us this great positive thinker, club member President Reagan, came along and turned things around. And so it was with great pleasure we inducted president Reagan into the club. Many past Presidents fit the mold as ultimate positive thinker, like Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, Lincoln, F.D.R. Jefferson and many more. Seven of the Presidents lived in log cabins as children, but they did not let their circumstances stand in the way of wanting to help their great country grow. They were willing to risk. Senator Bob Dole did research and listed the ten Presidents with the best sense of humor, in what he calls his “unscientific poll,” which I list in chapter 6 of my book. `Positive Thinkers are Happy and Have a Great Sense of Humor.’ FYI here they are-1. Abraham Lincoln 2. Ronald Reagan 3. FDR 4. Theodore Roosevelt 5. Calvin Coolidge 6. John F. Kennedy 7. Harry Truman 8. Lyndon Johnson 9. Herbert Hoover 10. Woodrow Wilson. During the civil War Lincoln was informed that the South had captured a General and 10 Army mules. Lincoln replied: “What a shame, we just paid $200.00 for each of the mules.”

“A day without laughter is a day wasted.” -Charlie Chaplin-
Club member, and board of advisor member Thelma Gray had life threatening open-heart surgery, but her tremendous Positive attitude kept her alive even though she is on oxygen 24/7. Thelma never ceases to amaze me and I am so in debt to her generosity. Thelma is listed in the Public Relations Hall of Fame, and was named `Woman of the Year by The Advertising Federation of America. Thelma feels my book; `Why Do Positive Thinkers Win’ will be a best seller. The book took close to ten years of painstaking research and writing and is filled with stories of hundreds of winners overcoming adversity with faith in self and God, as well as advice from the pundits throughout the ages. But mostly it reveals for the first time the heretofore secret three-word motto leading to achieving goals and happiness. You can purchase it for now for $16.95 plus S&H at www.authorhouse.com. A percentage of the profits will go to feed hungry U.S. Children.

“As you grow older you discover you have two hands, one to help yourself and one to help others.” -Audrey Hepburn- Oscar winning actress. The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer-Hap Arnold- General-WW II-Does the name, Kevin Hall mean anything to you? If you are a golf fan then you will see him soon in a PGA tournament possibly along side his hero Tiger Woods, (one of the great Positive Thinkers I might add) walking to the green. Kevin has an advantage over other golfers, as he is deaf, so he can’t hear the negativity, and has no choice but to think and act positive. “Like the turtle, you only make progress when you stick your neck out.”

Our hearts go out to club member Phyllis Stram, who recently lost her great football coach husband, Hank. Hank led the Kansas City Chiefs to a world Championship and was a delight to be around. Hank loved the simple folk and he and I used to meet at K-mart in Louisiana..”Positive Thinking is contagious. Don’t wait to get it, be a carrier.” If you think you have it tough, think of the statement from the great comedian, Rodney Dangerfield. “My neighborhood was so tough that after the opposing team sacked the quarterback they went after his family. “Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.” “If you don’t know where you are going, you might not get there.” Yogi Berra..

If you know of a story of overcoming obstacles e-mail it to us. Don’t be hesitant to submit those you think worthy of membership. You can reach us at crosshld33@hotmail.com
www.worldpositivethinkersclub.com Keep your eyes open for it early August, as there will be many very exciting links.
Positive regards,

Ken Bossone, president.
