Haanel originally put this treatise together as a 24 week course of study and taught it to a select few students who urged him not to widely disseminate the information to the masses for fear they would lose the edge that would propel them to success above all who did not possess this knowledge. Hannel was content with this arrangement for a few yeaers but eventually realized that society, as a whole, could benefit greatly from the principles he was teaching.
