Limit Refined Grains/Carbohydrates
Products made from white flour raise your glucose level and increase the production of cytokine. So limiting your intake of white bread, pasta, crackers, and other baked goods is recommended to ease joint pain. Try choosing products made from whole wheat instead.
Limit Saturated Fats and Meat
Meat and high-fat dairy (like cheeses and butter) are all high in saturated fats which trigger inflammation. Especially red meats that get charred by grilling, frying, roasting, and broiling.
Limit or Quit Drinking Alcohol
Consuming alcohol within the suggested guidelines of one serving per day for women and two for men may reduce your risk of developing RA. But if you regularly drink in excess, you raise your chances of developing gout. And if you already have RA or gout, even drinking moderately can make your symptoms worse.
Limit MSG and Aspartame
Both MSG and Aspartame get added to foods and drinks and can cause inflammation to those who are sensitive to them. MSG is a well-known addition to Asian foods. Aspartame can be found in many products including diet sodas and flavored waters.
Among other things smoking does to negatively affect your health, smoking can also cause rheumatoid arthritis (RA). And if you have RA and choose to continue smoking, your RA may be even more severe.
What to Eat to Ease Joint Pain
Harvard medical school suggests eating anti-inflammatory foods such as dark leafy greens, almonds and walnuts, fatty fish, and fruit.

Cut Out Avoid Foods That Cause Joint Pain
Changing one’s diet can be difficult since people can feel deprived of the foods they limit. But if you start substituting out foods that cause joint pain with healthier options, you may find that the decrease in your pain is more than worth it.
